The momentCOD Mobilefans have been eagerly waiting for may soon be here, as purple crystals have begun appearing around the Battle Royale Map. Are Zombies finally set to return to the popularCall of DutyMobile title?
COD Mobile’sofficial YouTube account has even started teasing the return of Zombies with a short video teaser, which can be found below. The video is titled ‘Unidentified Broadcast’ and doesn’t provide much information, but it does include the classic purple portal effect that fans will know from the Zombies mode.
Purple Crystals Appear InCOD Mobile
Many players have begun noticing purple crystals appearing inCOD Mobile. More specifically in the game’s Battle Royale mode at the point of interest which is a redesign of Transit fromBlack Ops 2’s Zombies mode.
As of writing, there’s nothing that can be done with the new purple crystals apart from shooting them. Once a player shoots a crystal, it will simply explode, dropping nothing. They currently just offer more of a visual teaser for the return of Zombies inCOD Mobile.
As well as the YouTube account forCOD Mobile, teasers have also started appearing on their official social media pages.
Thanks toCOD Mobileleakers, we now know that all of these teasers are for the return of Zombies in the new ‘Undead Siege’ mode.CODM_Updatesrevealed the new mode on Twitter, check out the description of Undead Siege below:
“Takes players and their team on the Battle Royale map and prepares them for the fight of their lives. Survive the outbreak for five days and nights collecting supplies and equipment to prepare their base for the inevitable zombie attack.”
So, it looks like Zombies are finally set to return toCOD Mobile. Fans can expect more details to come soon as we get closer and closer to Season 6.
When Will Zombies Return ToCOD Mobile?
According toCODM_Updateson Twitter, all of the upcoming Zombies content is set to arrive in Season 6 ofCOD Mobile. An official release date for Season 6 has not yet been revealed by Activision, but it is expected to arrive around August 2nd.
The aforementioned date is when the current Season 5 Battle Pass is set to end, indicating the end of the current season and the start of Season 6.
