There are not a lot of big games releasing this week, which isn’t surprising givengamescomkicks off, and publishers most likely don’t want their games getting ran over by the announcements at the event.

Even so, there are still a few noteworthy titles that are making their way out on the PS5 and PS4, and one of these is a highly anticipated shooter.

PS5 and PS4 PSN Releases for August 18 to 24

This week’s most noteworthy release is Team Jade’s Delta Force! Set to finally bereleased on consoles on August 19, this free-to-play hit has been available on PC since last year. Expect the console launch to include not only the multiplayer, but also the Black Hawk Down Campaign, whichcan be played solo or co-op.

Expect large-scale multiplayer with seasonal content to keep things fresh, and if the console versions are as supported as PC, expect not only a wave of content, but also a vigilant push to verify the game is cheater-free.

While Sony won’t be attending gamescom, expect a slew of games for the PS5 to be announced at gamescom Opening Night Live as part ofits hours-long show.. GivenSony’s the runaway winner this generation, almost every major title will probably get a PS5 or even PS4 version.

Once the gamescom hysteria dies down, we’ll be winding down to the last few months of the year, and expect a ton of big games to be released consistently over the next few weeks.
