Moanahas become a cult classic in Disney’s long history of children’s entertainment. The film broke records and ended up out-performingFrozenin more ways than one. With this, it is not surprising that the studio decided to go forward with a second film.
Although the wait has been long for the second installment of the beloved film, it is finally here after almost a decade. However, since fans had to wait a very long time for a second film, many chose to make fake, fan-made trailers instead.
One would expect that once the real thing has been released, the fake ones would lose their popularity. However, it would seem that a theater in the Philippines did not get this memo.
Moana Is Pregnant?
Recently,Cosmic Marvelposted a video of certain Philippino Disney fans going to watchMoana 2. Only they had a very bizarre experience when it came to the promotion of the film outside of the theater. In movie theaters, when a film has just been released, trailers of the same are often played on the outside.
Something similar was going on at this theater; however, they were not playing the official trailer of the film. Instead, they were streaming an AI, fan-made trailer of the movie that put forth quite an interesting plot for the children’s film.

Although the fake trailer, on its own, would have been quite an interesting thing to find, the contents of the trailer itself made many question the nature of the movie. At one point in the trailer, an image of Moana pregnant with Maui’s baby was also seen. It is safe to say that this will definitely not be a part of the new sequel.
Fans Are Baffled
After seeing the fakeMoana 2trailer that was being played at the Philippines theater, fans cannot help but be perplexed by the situation. Considering the fact that the official trailer for the film isn’t difficult to find and the fake one isn’t difficult to eliminate as a contender, it is safe to say that the theater made quite a big mistake.

If the trailer, on its own, had just been playing, people would not have had much of an issue. However, the nature of the fake trailer is enough to raise eyebrows.Moanais one of the most successful children’s filmsof all time. Kids of all age groups would be coming to watch and perhaps see the fake trailer playing.
Seeing a pregnant version of their beloved would certainly make them throw the wrong questions at their parents, considering such themes should not be present in children’s films. Although this has been received somewhat comically by fans on the internet, it is safe to assume that parents would not have the same reaction towards the theater.
Moana 2is out in theaters.
