Ever since Generation VIII in thePokemongames, players have been able to find special Pokemon that have marks on them. These marks are rare purely cosmetic items that allow you to give your Pokemon special Titles.

Marks are similar toRibbonsas Ribbons also give out Titles. However, Pokemon can only ever have a Ribbon or a Mark equipped at any given time, they cannot have both.

Marks Available

Pokemon Scarlet and Violetintroduced 9 new Marks: the Alpha Mark, Destiny Mark, Gourmand Mark, Itemfinder Mark, Jumbo Mark, Mightiest Mark, Mini Mark, Partner Mark, and Titan Mark. With the addition of these 9 Marks,there are now 50 Marks within the Pokemon world. You’re able to findmost Marks on wild Pokemon with around a 1% chance. However, there are some Marks that will always appear on certain Pokemon. Unlike Ribbons,Marks (with the exception of a few) must be found on the Pokemon when you catch them.While Ribbons act similarly to Marks, Ribbons are awarded to Pokemon for completing certain activities.
