Niantic is very much in the mood for giving in Pokemon GO at this point in time.

While the Season of Legends has played host to a range of different events, none of them have been quite as fruitful as the new, Luminous Legends X one.

Players are being greeted with three, maybe four, new evolutionary lines including the Goomy family and a brand new Legendary in the form of Xerneas.

Out of all of the new Pokemon, Goomy is one of the more intriguing. So, let’s take a look at the new Pokemon Goomy, Sliggoo and Goodra, their Max CP, best movesets and whether they’re worth investing in.

EVOLUTION– How To Evolve Sliggoo into Goodra Using a Special Lure

All three Pokemon in the Goomy family are pure Dragon-types. That means they all share the same weaknesses and resistances.

The trio’s Dragon typing means that they are weak to Fairy, Ice and of course, Dragon-type moves.

In terms of resistances, Goomy, Sliggoo and Goodra all resist Electric, Fire, Grass and Water-type moves.

In terms of each of the three Pokemon’s max CP, you’re able to check that out below:

Can The Hold Their Own in the GO Battle League?

Well, Goomy is known as the weakest Dragon-type Pokemon for a reason. Let’s not even think about it in regards to PVP.

Sliggoo doesn’t fare much better either across all leagues, so again. Definitely not even worth your consideration.

Goodra on the other hand has an opportunity to make a name across all three leagues.PVPokeestimates Goodra to be the 74th best Pokemon in the Great League and 120th in the Ultra League.

Where Goodra looks set to shine is the Master League. It’s ranked as the 19th best Pokemon in the division and can pick up wins against some of the trickiest of oppositions. The problem - it’s going to be hard to get enough candy!
