Apart from adding two new Pokemon, Sandygast, and Palossand, players will also be to catch an adorable Lapras wearing a Scarf as part of three-star raids. There is field research available for all players which will guarantee them a number of encounters, alongside a timed research, exclusive to people who have bought the ticket. The Spotlight Hour is all set to bring a new shiny as well, and here is everything you need to know about the event.

Is There A Shiny Krabby in June Spotlight Hour 2023?
For players wondering if there is a shiny Krabby in Pokemon GO, the good news is that it does have a shiny variant in the game. Krabby is one of the classic Water-type Pokemon, making its debut all the way back in Generation 1. Krabby was available at launch in Pokemon Go and the shiny variant made its debut in the game in late 2018. While a regular Krabby is orange in color, the shiny variant has a yellowish appearance, which makes it quite easy to differentiate.
Is There A Shiny Kabuto?
Another Pokemon hailing from the Kanto region in Generation 1, Kabuto is a Rock & Water-type Pokemon. Kabuto’s shiny variant is also present in Pokemon GO, and it made its debut as part of the Adventure Week 2018 event. Kabuto’s shiny variant has a fluorescent green shell instead of the regular brown color, and its legs have a slightly more yellowish tinge as well.
Is There A Shiny Corphish?
A Pokemon which shares quite a number of features with Krabby, Corphish is a Generation 3 Water-type Pokemon that evolves into Crawdaunt. Corphish' shiny variant was added quite recently, as part of the Safari Zone Seville event which was held in May 2022. Featuring perhaps one of the most contrasting differences, the shiny variant of Corphish is pink in color as compared to the vermilion color.
Is There A Shiny Clauncher?
Clauncher is one of the newer Water types, which made its debut in Generation 6 and evolves into Clawitzer. Until now, a shiny Clauncher didn’t exist in Pokemon GO, but as part of the Water Festival: Beach Week event which kicks off this week, Niantic is adding a shiny Clauncher to the game. The shiny variant of Clauncher is vermillion in color, sharing a similar color scheme as some of its ancestors, Krabby and Corphish. Its antennae and eyes are blue in color, which is similar to the regular Clauncher’s body color.
Is There A Shiny Crabrawler?
The last Pokemon to be featured as part of the event is Crawbrawler, a Fighting-type Pokemon, which is quite different from the other Pokemon which are a part of this event. It is a Generation 7 Pokemon that evolves into Crabominable. As you might have expected considering it is a newer Pokemon, a shiny Crabrawler doesn’t exist in Pokemon GO. It is not known when a shiny Crawbraler will be added to Pokemon GO, but with much more popular Pokemon waiting for their shiny debuts, it is less likely that it is going to happen anytime soon.
June 6 Spotlight Hour Bonuses
The bonus for this week’s Pokemon GO Spotlight is fittingly extravagant, with players receiving 3x XP for every Pokemon they catch. This is doubled to 6x XP when a Lucky Egg is used - a perfect opportunity for players to level up.
