What Is The Lab?
The Lab is where you can go to purchasegear and upgradesfor all your equipment. You can also purchase certain one-use items that can be extremely helpful during your playthrough. It is unlocked when you rescue Russ from the first cave in theSun-Speckled Terracemap. Anytime you experience a new type of damage or you reach a certain amount of Sparklium, you will unlock a new item in the Lab. You can also unlock certain items if you purchase a similar item in the Lab. As of now, these are the only known ways to unlock the items that Russ will sell you. He will sell you these items in exchange for theRaw Materialsthat you have found. Keep in mind, this is a strategy game. While Raw Materials are plentiful, you will want to purchase the items that are the most useful to you. You don’t want to miss out on something because you didn’t have enough Raw Materials to purchase it.
