The production ofOne Piecelive-action is at its full power, and fans are excited for the series to announce the release date and finally hit their screens. However, it’s not good news for every fan, as there might be a few characters who won’t make it to the second season of Netflix’sOne Piece. And one of those characters is Red-Haired Shanks, the captain of the Red-Haired Pirates.

This was recently confirmed by Peter Gadiot, the actor who portrayed Shanks in the first season ofOne Piecelive-action. Gadiot’s performance as Shanks was top-notch, and fans were totally impressed by him. Thus, many hoped that he would also be a part of the second season ofOne Piecelive-action, as the adaptation has been making some modifications of its own.
However, a recent Instagram post by the actor might have confirmed that while he had fun with the first season of the series, he won’t be making an appearance in the second season ofOne Piecelive-action. This has disappointed a lot of Shanks fans from the originalOne Pieceanime and manga.

Peter Gadiot’s Shares A Heartfelt Message
As the hype aroundOne Piecelive-action is currently at its peak, Gadiot decided to share his experience when he was filming as Shanks for the first season of the live-action adaptation.

Still, he managed to find some great pictures that depicted the fun he hadwhile working as Shanks. Gadiot pointed out that he loved everyone who joined him in his journey and helped in creating one of the greatest live-action adaptations in history. He also thanked the fans for appreciating and accepting him as Shanks and giving him a chance to prove himself.
Ultimately, he pointed out that he is happy and grateful that he got to be a part of such an incredible world and get the love fromOne Piecefans. He concluded the message by saying that he finds them very passionate aboutOne Piece, and that’s a great thing.

The Hidden Bad News Behind Peter Gadiot’s Emotional Message
Peter Gadiot’smessage was a reflection of his journey as Shanks during the first season of theOne Piecelive-action adaptation. But there was a hidden meaning behind the message about his appearance in the second season of the series. It looks like he won’t be joining the cast for the upcoming journey to the Alabasta saga.
This is because Shanks has a very limited appearance in the first phase ofOne Piece, and after the East Blue Saga, he returns in the post-Enies Lobby arc. Thus, Gadiotmost likely won’t be a part ofOne Piecelive-action season 2.

The hidden bad news behind Gadiot’s message was instantly interpreted by his fans, who are not disappointed about the fact that they won’t get to see Shanks in the upcoming season. They took to X to express their sadness.
Why does he sound like this is the end for him? He’s using a lot of passed tenses. I mean I know this was from first season but still… Hope that’s not the case
Maybe it’s because Shanks doesn’t appear until many arcs later, it will be difficult for us to see Peter again
Can we just clone him to spread around the love?
I’m so damn happy to be a one piece fan both anime and live action but it’s kind of suck to see what happens to Peter gadiot pics of the live action version and I’m pretty sure everybody would had loved to see them
we’re gonna be waiting years for his appearance again lol
Although it is sad that fans won’t get to see Shanks in the second season ofOne Piecelive-action, this doesn’t mean that he won’t make an appearance ever. Gadiot will probably return in the third season ofOne Piecelive-action and once again justify his performance as Red-Haired Shanks.
One Piecelive-action is available to watch on Netflix.
