Last week, Atlus revealedPersona 5 Royal’snew My Palace mode, and the DLC featuringbattles againstPersona 3andPersona 4’s protagonists. In this week’s Famitsu magazine, Atlus revealed more tidbits on My Palace.
First off, we learned how exactly the character change in My Palace works. Inside My Palace, there are multiple panels you can find on the floor. Each panel depicts a character and walking on these panels will transform Joker into said character. Walking again on the same character panel will instead change the character’s clothes.
For now, we didn’t get a list of all the characters we can transform into, and the screenshots and gameplay so far only shows Joker turning into other Phantom Thieves characters. In the Morgana’s Report video, Morgana said: “you’re able to turn into your favorite character” instead of “you can turn into your favorite Phantom Thieves character”, so maybe confidant characters are included.
The cognitive versions of Joker’s comrades appearing in My Palace will also have different dialogues depending on how you decorated the place. Above, we have Iwai commenting on Captain Kidd’s cannon and swords. The new character, Jose, who appears in Mementosin the main story, also appears in My Palace mode.
InPersona 5 Royal’s My Palace, you can take a look at all the game’s illustrations, cutscenes, and the game’s rough draft designs. Even the ingame photos you see after certain events can be seen again in My Palace. Last but not least, you can watch bits of some of the real-life live concerts of thePersonaseries.
We also got more details on the conversations which can happen in My Palace. Some of the conversations include tips to get certain items in the main story. And we’ll also get to see interactions between characters who rarely interact with each other in the main story.
Lastly, DLC costumes fromCatherine: Full Bodywere revealed. Even more DLC costumes will be revealed at a later date.
More screenshots are included in the gallery below. Keep in mind this is from Famitsu scans and not direct-feed.
