Yesterday, news emergedvia PC Gamerthat Ubisoft has been sending out warnings to players that their accounts will be suspended and even permanently deleted for “inactivity” if they don’t log in within 30 days. The news spread like wildfire, and it was widely suggested that players’ Ubisoft games libraries were at risk of deletion, meaning players could losing access to hundreds of dollars worth of purchased games permanently. We reached out to Ubisoft for clarity on this issue, and a spokesperson told us that “account deletion follows a very strict process” that takes into account four criteria, with one of those criteria being “the account’s libraries: accounts that include purchased PC games are not eligible for deletion....

For the past day, Firaxis and 2K held a livestream counting down to a special announcement.
