Today, Activision-Blizzard kicked off a brand new event in its popular online shooterOverwatch. To celebrate Mardi Gras, the team has startedAshe’s Mardi Gras Challenge, which gives you multiple ways to earn new rewards for the Deadlock Gang leader. Below, we have a full guide for how to get all the content from the event. Make sure to get started quickly, as the event only runs from February 25 to March 9. Essentially, if you want all the shiny new loot for Ashe, there are two things you’ll need to do: watch and playOverwatch.
“Play to Earn”
This part is likely going to be the most fun forOverwatchfans. You can hop into Quick Play, Competitive Play, and Arcade mode andrack up winsto get different loot. As you go through the event, you’ll earn new sprays, icons, and even an Epic skin for Ashe. See below for everything you have to do.
Even with the relatively short event time, these seem like reasonable challenges for anyone to complete and get a sweet skin. At best, you’re looking at nine games ofOverwatchover two weeks. Even if you’re only winning 50% of your games, this should be something most players can easily grind for. The other side of the coin might be a bit less fun, but it’s even easier.

“Watch to Earn”
Throughout the event, you’ll be able to unlock a few new sprays by watching your favoriteOverwatchstreamer on Twitch. To do so, you’ll need to link your Blizzard account to Twitch’s service, which is a very simple process. Once you do that, you’ll unlock new content at different hours watched intervals. Give the rewards a look below.
This one just requires your time. Obviously, it would be great for both Activision-Blizzard and the Twitch streamers if you actually watch the content. That said, you could easily just leave a stream on while you do the laundry, cook dinner, or play some games. Heck, you could get both sides of the challenge done at the same time, if you really wanted to.
Personally, I like short-timeeventslike this one fromBlizzard. It’s a relatively easy mountain to climb to get the content. You could bang it out in an afternoon or two. That makes it perfect for casual players. Plus, there are no loot boxes involved, which is always great news.
Overwatchis available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
