Lady Gaga opens up about family life and parenthood with Michael Polansky
In the same interview withElle, Lady Gaga shared her thoughts on family life and her future with fiancé Michael Polansky. Lady Gaga explained that for her, family isn’t just about being with loved ones; it’s also about personal growth and change. She said:
Family—it’s like the roots of the tree. They grow long, and sometimes they’re mangled, and sometimes they’re full with water, and sometimes they’re thirsty.
This describes how family can sometimes be complicated, but it also plays a huge role in shaping who you are. Family is something that defines you, but it also pushes you to change and grow. Gaga also shared her views on how she and Polansky would like their future children to have the freedom to be themselves.

She also said that she wouldn’t want to pressure them into seeing her artistry in any particular way. She added:
I would want my children to understand that whatever my artistry means to them is totally up to them. I would never actually want to shape it or tell them how to think about me.
The couple believes in giving their children the space to explore and discover who they are without feeling pressure from their parents or the outside world. Gaga acknowledged that children are often told what to think, how to act, and even what to believe. She and Polansky want to provide an environment where their kids can grow into themselves and make their own choices.
