Since the revelation by Dr. Vegapunk, the world ofOne Piecehas come under the impending doom of being flooded by the sea. While no one knows the reason behind it or when it will happen, according to Vegapunk, the tragic and dangerous calamity can’t be stopped, and it will essentially sink the whole world down.
However, there is one small aspect of theOne Pieceuniverse that can either become the biggest help for the people or could be the reason for the world to get flooded by the waves and sink to the bottom. This aspect is called the Knock Up Stream, and it was first introduced during the Skypiea arc.
The Knock Up Streams helped the Straw Hat Pirates reach Skypiea island by shooting their ship upwards with the help of water currents. They are going to play a major role in the upcoming devastation, and it all depends on how Eiichiro Oda decides to use them.
The Function of a Knock Up Stream inOne Piece
Although it may not be noticeable, the Knock Up stream has made quite a few appearances in theOne Pieceuniverse. They have appeared both canonically and non-canonically, and while they have not been seen for a long time, they are surely going to play a big role in the final saga of theOne Piecestory.

These streams are so powerful that they have the strength to not only knock the ships in the sky but islands too. As of now, they have only been seen mostly during the Skypiea arc. They are one of the biggest mystical events in theOne Pieceworld and will surely hold more importance than being a pathway to Skypiea Island.
Knock Up Stream May Be Responsible For The Sinking of theOne PieceWorld
Ever since it was revealed that the World Government’s use of the Ancient Weapon and the Mother Flame to destroy the Lulusia Kingdom has caused the sea level to rise, fans have anticipated that this could be the sole reason for theOne Pieceworld to be flooded. However, there is more to the situation than meets the eye.
The destruction of the island by the ancient weapon caused a massive sea hole, which later resulted in an earthquake and a rising sea level. If these destructions become frequent and the water level keeps rising, the Knock Up Streams which could have been used as a way to escape the flood, could become the reason behind the flood.
A Small Loophole Became the Perfect Opportunity for a One Piece Character to Have the Biggest Betrayal Possible
The rising water level will result in more and more Knock Up streams developing, and if they reach the maximum amount, they could easily flood theOne Pieceworld. Therefore, the only way to stop the world from sinking is by stopping the development of Knock Up streams.
