Quick Links
The secret ending is a staple in tons ofRPGs, and OFF is no exception, having you jump through hoops to see a hidden cutscene. Like most other games, it’s also quite a task to get everything you need for this ending.
For starters, you should only begin this journey after you’ve finished off all three zones, and preferably after you’ve made your way to the final save point in The Room, which you’re very explicitly told is the final one.

After that, you should have the experience and equipment necessary to navigate the previous zones, which are completely overrun with far stronger enemies that can easily tear you apart if you go in unprepared.
In this guide, I’ll assume you’re properly geared up and in the endgame, and I will show you how to get every item necessary for the secret ending, even though it’s quite a bit of effort for a small scene.

Grand Finale
Purified Zone 1
This first one is quite challenging to complete, primarily due tothe unusual rock puzzles. Start in Zone 1 after your massacre, and head up, then walk along the tracks until you find yourself in Damien, or whatever’s left of it.
Head down to the smoke mines and walk through them as you would normally when you were getting to the Barns before. Push the higher rock to the right, then push the one above you up, until you have access.

You can grab the two chests at the top of this room if you want, but to make more progress, you need to push the rock through the fence, then move up, left, and enter the door, which takes you to another puzzle.
Move a rock to the right, then move up and push the rock to the left, up again, push the rock to the right, and you may push the final rock to the right and get access to another section of the track.

You can head up tofight a remaster-exclusive boss, or head right until you hit Alma. The maze is pretty impossible now, so instead, head right to summon a pedalo, and you’ll find it’s manifested on the left side of the area.
Go all the way up, and to the right, you’ll find a door in the middle of two buildings, and you may promptly dismount and head inside. In this room, you’ll find a save point and two chests, one of which contains the Grand Finale, which is all we need here.

Grand Diagonal
Purified Zone 2
When you arrive at the library, you will likely notice that the north side, where the mall used to be, is now blocked off. The only way in is now by entering the library and heading up to the topmost door, which provides access to this previously closed-off section.
Head through the door on the right, and you may think to take the shortcut on the left, but that leads nowhere, so head to the right instead. You’ll see the maze is now empty, and arguably much easier to navigate.
Heading down, you’ll spot two chests, which may or may not be open. When you see them, head left, then keep heading down and left until you see a door below you, which takes you to the area you were kicked out of before.
You’ll see the numbers “1805” on the wall, but those are just the numbers to open the door that leads into this room. Head out, and locate the house in the bottom left, with the numbers “1709” written there.
With these numbers, make your way to the right of the map, and you’ll see a safe door that requests a code. Putting in “1709” takes you to a house with the last survivor of the purification, and a staircase leading to the Grand Diagonal.
Grand Spectral
Purified Zone 3
Now in Zone 3, head through Area 1 as usual, with the top left door in the big room leading into Area 2, instead of making you use the monorail. You’ll find that the lab where you previously saw Von Gacy is now completely desolate, all the puzzles gone.
Navigate to the Sugar room, and you’ll find a door that takes you to Area 3. Climb the ladder and jump down the pipe, where you’ll find you can now enter the sugar oven for a secret boss, or just exit the pipe as you did previously, taking you to the monorail.
You’ll find the monorail has the option to take you to ???, which just means Area 4. Making your way left, up, and right past a bunch of doors leads you to the room where you previously fought Enoch, now an endless sea of white void.
Head up until the door is off-screen, head to the right for a while, then enter another door above you, and with some luck, you’ll find yourself in another room with two chests, one of which contains the Grand Spectral.
Grand Brachial
These next few objectives are relatively straightforward, especially the Grand Brachial. If you have the other three, you can simply head to The Room and buy it from Zacharie for a rather large price tag of 5000 credits.
Grand Chocolatier + Aries Card
Heading back to Zone 0 for the first time since you left, you’ll find the room that contained the first code you ever found now has a staircase leading down. If you enter, be ready for a somewhat tough boss fight.
You’ll find Sugar, who has control over the secret fifth element, which is also known as Sugar. She’s not capable of dealing tons of damage, but she is incredibly tanky, and her six little companions tend to be a problem.
Take out the little guys first, and be mindful of the status effects both you and your opponent have, as they can turn a situation from bad to ugly within a couple of turns. I’d recommend grabbing a bunch of Belial’s Meat, if you haven’t already.
After a ton of hitting the small guys and healing on end, you should be able to whittle her health down quite a bit. Once you take her out, you can speak to Zacharie in the room before the save point, and he’ll offer you a deal.
Now that you have all five Grand items, you can trade them in for either the Ashley Bat or the Aries Card. I’d recommend making two saves here, as that bat comes in handy forthe final secret boss, but if you just want the ending, grab the card.
The Finale
Now, head to the room, fight the queen, and kill the child. You need to side with the batter at the end and win the fight, then after the credits roll, you’ll finally witness the scene you worked so hard to obtain.
