The reason for the price hike is due to “market conditions,” which could mean anything from the exchange rate, tariffs, manufacturing changes and whatnot. Whatever the reason is, we can’t do anything about it.

The Switch 2 console, physical and digital Switch and Switch 2 games, as well as Switch Online subscriptions, will remain unchanged “at this time.” Nintendo adds a disclaimer that “price adjustments may be necessary in the future,” so don’t be surprised if these items get a price hike in the near future too.
