The Fantastic Four: First Stepsis set to take July 2025 by storm, battling it out with another iconic character in a superhero film,Superman. There have been a lot of casting rumors about The Fantastic Four, along with speculations about which characters are going to show up in the film.
There is one character who has been rumored to be part of the film, along with a slew of other characters who are important to the Fantastic Four mythos. While Galactus and the Silver Surfer have been confirmed for the film, there will reportedly be a montage in the film that will show the team fighting other villains, such as Mole Man.

Marvel Comics is filled with some of the most iconic antagonistic characters that face off against the heroes of the Marvel Universe. Mole Man is one of the oldest villains of the Fantastic Four, even though he is treated as less of a threat in today’s comic book landscape.

However, if it is indeed a cameo for a montage of villains that The Fantastic Four fight, it might make sense to cast the likes ofDanny DeVitoandJack Blackin the role. The casting directors over at Marvel Studios will sure be able to find better fits, but just likeJohn Krasinski‘s Reed Richards, this would be a golden opportunity for some fan service in the film.
It’s always possible for Marvel to recast the character in the mainline Marvel Cinematic Universe with someone who is better suited to the studio’s needs, with a focus on building out a cast that would make the characters shine more than those playing the role.
Other classical Fantastic Four villains are also rumored to appear in the film
According to the rumor that has been circulating online, a slew of classic Fantastic Four villains would be part of a montage that would depict the team going through lesser adventures before launching into the film proper. There is no confirmation or rumors regarding who these characters would be, but it can be assumed that Marvel would like to place instantly recognizable characters.

These characters could be some of the Fantastic Four’s most recognizable foes, such as Namor the Sub-Mariner, The Skrulls, Impossible Man, Puppet Master and The Frightful Four. Doctor Doom, another iconic villain who has been cast in the MCU, is expected to also appear in the film.
These villains might reflect some of their counterparts in the MCU (such as The Skrulls and the Sub-Mariner) or they could feature an entirely different take on the character, something that is more akin to what audiences are used to seeing in the comics.
