It turns out thatCD Projekt REDhas a lot left in the tank forCyberpunk 2077.
The studio is hosting a REDstream tomorrow, taking place at 5 PM CET, where they’ll unveil what’s to come in Update 2.2 forCyberpunk 2077. Global Community Director added to the hype on hisX, formerly known as Twitter, posting that “the team still has some gas in the tank.”

Sometimes it’s just a flop and nothing can be done to save it. For a select few, though, there is redemption. A rise from the ashes takes place.
He later clarified that PS5 Pro Support and NG+, despite being popular requests, are not coming. “We do have some other cool stuff in the oven,” he clarified, “and we’ll talk about it tomorrow during the stream.”

Cyberpunk 2077last received an update with Patch 2.1, releasing in December 2023. While nowhere near as comprehensive as thePhantom Libertyexpansion, Update 2.1 still brought several quality of life improvements, such as a fully functional metro system for fast travel and the ability to listen to music on the go outside of your vehicle.

CD Projekt RED Is Staying Busy with Support for Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher
News of new content forCyberpunk 2077is surprising, not just because they’ve repeatedly said they haveno plans for PS5 Pro support, but also due to that they recently entered full-scale production for theirnext game inThe Witcherfranchise.
The studio also confirmed a breakdown of the size of each development team currently involved in projects. The studio lists four confirmed projects: Polaris (newWitchergame), Orion (Cyberpunk 2077sequel), Sirius (Witchermultiplayer spin-off), and Hadar (new IP). Over 100 people are working on “shared services,” which is listed as localization, QA, and other similar tasks.

Of note is that “other projects,” which include unannounced projects that may be developed by third party developers, saw a rise in staff by over 100%. Granted, that number went from eight to 19, but it makes you wonder if it’s related to this surpriseCyberpunk 2077update.
