However, WBD is in no position to give an offer because they are knee-deep in $40 billion debt. To match the deal, sources believe that WBD needs to pay over $2.6 billion, which makes it quite impossible to retain the rights.
The news organization also reports that the NBA is preparing its lawyers for a possible inquisition or lawsuit. The sadder news is that if WBD fails to retain its rights to the league, thenInside The NBAwill also come to an end, making Charles Barkley a free agent.
