Eiichiro Oda gives everyone their moment to shine inOne Piece,be it the protagonist Luffy, Zoro or Usopp; or the characters that keep coming and going in the series. Each and every one of them gets an opportunity to grow even if the process itself remains slow. Upgrades and power-ups to them all help their growth as the stakes get higher and villains become stronger.
Out of all the characters, the one who seems to be most deserving of an upgrade after having waited for the longest time is Usopp. He has been waiting for his transformative moment, one that many fans would agree is long overdue. Fans seem to see it too, wanting and needing Usopp to get his glorious moment.
Usopp Saw Luffy’s Punches Coming from a Mile Away
In aOne Piececlip shared by @luffybeingluffy onInstagram, Luffy and Usopp were seen sparring with the former taking the offense and the latter the defense. While at first, one would easily assume it to be an unfair matching, seeing just how overpowered the protagonist of the series is, things wouldn’t seem to be going in that direction.

While Luffy starts off easy, throwing one punch after the other at a steady pace, Usopp takes them all just as casually. However, the moment Luffy’s speed increases, so do his dodging skills. Seeing this from a humorous perspective would easily make fans miss out on aspects of his character that could further be expanded upon.

Furthermore, it can act as a form of foreshadowing towards his power-ups, especially with how easily he dodged every single attack. He could sometimes in the near future unlock his own Observation Haki making him a formidable opponent to many of the stronger villains of the Elbaf Arc.
Fans Are Rooting for the Perfect Usopp Moment
Usopp’s powers have been theorized for the longest time, putting the matter forward about howEiichiro Odahasn’t yet given him the power boost that is long overdue. His tendency to lie and those lies eventually coming true at one point or another became a topic of concern with many wondering that his upgrade would follow that. However, seeing how easily he was able to escape every hit Luffy made his way, things could take another turn.

In all seriousness though I NEED Oda to write Ussop a power boost in elbaf arc. He deserves it. He hasnt done much since dressrosa arc man.
God Usopp just flexing his haki that’s it.
Wait till he has better observation haki then shanks.
‘Pirates are here’ he wasn’t lying it was because of observation haki so strong that he saw future far ahead.
His time to shine is something Oda should actively work on seeing how it has been such a long time since he was given the spotlight. The potential of his power remains untouched and unexplored. It would either be a matter of time or soon before Usopp is given his worthy upgrade.

The most likely of the possibilities could also be the Observation Haki, especially with the way he dealt with Luffy’s blows. Dodging his attacks even in jest is no easy feat but Usopp seems to have it all set out for him.
