WhileMK11dominated the month of April, plenty of other titles had strong showings as well. As mentioned before,Days Gonefinished April in second place for software sales and has already proven to be Sony Bend Studio’s most successful game ever.MLB The Show 19finished the month in third and is currently the 10th highest-sold game of the year. Meanwhile, the rest of the chart for April was mainly filled with releases from March that still carried over and did well.

Here’s the full top-20 list from April:

In the realm of hardware, the Nintendo Switch continued to stay on top of its competition like we’ve come to expect at this point. Nintendo’s console stands as not only April but all of 2019’s best-selling hardware both in terms of dollar sales and units sold.

That said, hardware sales as a whole for the month fell by 29% compared to April 2018 due to the decline of hardware sales for all other platforms besides the Switch. On the year as a whole, hardware spending is down 16% compared to last year. Again though, this isn’t anything to be all that shocked by considering both the PS4 and Xbox One are on their final legs.
