The denizens of Eorzea are crossing over with the colossal beasts ofMonster Hunteronce more, asFinal Fantasy 14and Monster Hunter Wilds will be hosting separate crossover events in 2025.
The worlds of Final Fantasy and Monster Hunter connected in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, when Cloud and Sephiroth faced off against Rathalos. The two had amore concrete crossoverin the previous console era, with Rathalos appearing in Final Fantasy 14, and a Behemoth appearing in Monster Hunter World.

The two creature-fighting video game series are collaborating once more. It was revealed at Gamescom 2025 that Final Fantasy 14 and Monster Hunter Wilds will each have a crossover event this year, with both games introducing new content. A trailer for these collabs is now available on The Game Awards YouTube channel.
What’s Happening In The Final Fantasy 14 x Monster Hunter Wilds Collab?
There are two separate events at play.In Monster Hunter Wilds, a creature called Omega Planetes will appear, based on the recurring Omega Weapon boss from the Final Fantasy franchise. Players will also get to unlock Chocobo mounts and Cactuar esthetics. These will appear in Free Title Update 3, launching in late September.
In Final Fantasy 14, those who reach Level 100 and complete the Dawntrail MSQ. They will be able to face an Arkveld in battle, as well as unlock a Seikret mount. This crossover isexpected to launch in early October.

The worlds of Final Fantasy 14 and Monster Hunter Wilds are similar enough that a crossover is amatch made in heaven, especially considering that this isn’t even the first collab between the two. Getting Chocobos in Monster Hunter Wilds is easily the best part about the crossover, as those ugly lizards can finally be sent to the glue factory where they belong.
