Among the new features, like the Pop-up Camps, one of the staple features inMonster HunterWildsis the return of Decorations, an essential element of the series' RPG aspects.
Decorations allow you to insert various kinds of jewels into your equipment, granting stat boosts and other benefits to help you min-maxattributes and polish your builds even further.

Monster Hunter Wilds' First Post-Launch Update Detailed
Still two weeks out from its launch, Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds has revealed some of the contents included in the game’s first post-launch update.
They’re not something you’ll be able to access so easily. Plus, if you’re a new player, you might be confused about how you can get Decorations in the first place.

That’s partly the reason why I’ve prepared a guide today to help youunlock the Decorations inMonster Hunter Wildsand where you can readily get them.
How To Unlock Decorations
You can unlock decorations soon after completing yourquest to hunt the Black Flamein theOilwell Basin regionofMonster Hunter Wilds.
After some time,Gemma will show you Decorations at the Windward Plains Base Campas a new feature at her workshop to further accessorize your equipment and empower them.

But here’s the kicker:Decorations are rewarded to you at the end of high-ranking quests as appraisal items. The type of decoration you get is RNG-dependent.
For more powerful ones, you might even need to tackle some of the endgame hunts, which players like us didback in Monster Hunter Worldfor Decorations like the Attack and Critical Boost ones.

Another way to get some Decorationsis via the Wyverian Melding NPC in Suja. As the game progresses, you’ll be able to craft even more Decorations at the cost of extra materials to meet the points' requirement.
How To Use & Equip Decorations
You canequip and use Decorations by heading to the Change Equipment section from either your tent or at the Smithy.
Remember that your armor must have an adequate slot for the Decoration and its levels. Some armor has level 1 slots, but you can craft some with Level 2 slots as you progress.

I imagine that infutureMonster Hunter Wildsupdates, be it free titles, expansions, or DLC with Master Rank,we might even get new armors with higher Decoration levels.
Now, I bet you’re looking for any recommendations regarding Decorations. In that case, first,I recommend waiting until you reach High-Rank quests to farm thembecause you’ll be more flexible in optimizing a build from there.
The Decorations themselves all come down to your preference here. There are different ones for every playstyle, with unique equipment bonuses that cater to a weapon type like the Switchaxe or Chargeblade.
But for universal usage and from my experience in previousMonster Huntergames,Decorations like the Attack Jewel and Earplugswill be good for almost every build wherever applicable.
