We’ve finally made it. Just one more week until the highly anticipatedElden RingDLCShadow of the Erdtreereleases and the community goes crazy as they rush to take down every formidable foe in the game.

Mohg, Lord of Blood, has roadblocked many Elden Ring players in their journey.

Not the entire community, as it turns out. After doing a little digging, a popular content creator found out that a majority of the Steam fanbase won’t even be able to play the DLC.

Most of the Elden Ring Fanbase Is Barred from the DLC

The answer isn’t a technical error or anything of the sort. No, the answer is rather simple, but not as simple to overcome.

Accessing the DLC area requires beating Mogh, Lord of Blood. According to content creator Cohh Carnage’s diligent search, he found that only 37.8% of the game’s Steam players have beaten him.

It’s no wonder many players don’t meet the requirements to access the DLC.

There is an achievement on Steam for beating Mogh. Which the@ELDENRINGdevs have said you have to beat for the DLC. 37.8% of Steam players have this achievement. This means that 62.2% of Steam players that have Elden Ring…Will not be able to play the DLC! 🤣

Meaning, that over 60% of the game’s fanbase on Steam can’t access the DLC area.

Elden Ring PSA: Everyone Agrees You’ll Need to Level Up 1 Skill More than Any Other for Shadow of the Erdtree, so Get Prepared for Messmer

When this FromSoftware title came out, it blew up on the internet, unlike any other title. It’sthe most popular game from the companyfor a reason, and is, without a doubt, the first Soulsborne experience for many people.

Keeping that context in mind, the game is quite difficult, even for people experienced with the genre. No doubt, many people on other gaming platforms and devices also failed to defeat Mohg either by inability or dropping the game before reaching him.

How to Access Shadow of the Erdtree DLC in Elden Ring

In quite a few interviews since the announcement, Hidetaka Miyazaki, the creative director ofElden Ring, revealed exactly how to access the DLC arena.

You’ll be able to access the DLC content after defeating Starscourge Radahn and then the optional boss, Mohg, Lord of Blood. The entrance to the DLC area is the arm hanging from the cocoon that you’ll see in Mohg’s area.

Sounds fine, right? Except Radahn is easily one of the most mind-numbingly difficult bosses of the game. He has many move combos and skills that can take out large chunks of your health.

Lose focus for even a second, and that could spell your death. He’s not an insurmountable foe; with some strategy, awareness, skill, and practice, you can knock him down. Unless you get one-shot by his attacks, that is.

Don’t worry too much though, we havea simple guide that can help you run right through him. Mohg can also be a pain to get through, especially if you’re under-leveled.

Thankfully, over-leveling isn’t as big a concern. The DLC has a special mechanic that will ensure you can’t breeze through the content.

With just a little over a week left, the wait feels even more difficult to sit through compared to when we had a year. Share your thoughts aboutShadow of the Erdtreein the comments below!
