Metroid Dreadintroduces EMMI robots as new antagonists that need to be killed in a unique way compared to all other enemies in the game.
Metroid Dreadis out now and many players have started their new deadly journey with Samus in a new mission to destroy a dangerous parasite.
In this version ofMetroid, you will fight against various bosses, but the EMMI robots appear to be one of the consistent boss fights of the game that will try to bother you every now and then throughout the game.
Through your progress in the game, you will fight against different variants of EMMI robots each with a unique color. Hopefully, they all will be eliminated using a single method, but you need to be fast and precise. (Thanks,BeardBear!)
Silver EMMI (First EMMI)
In order to kill an EMMI, you will first need to transform your Arm Cannon into an Omega Cannon. You will find out about this through your first encounter with an EMMI, which is the Silver EMMI.
At first, you will have to escape the fight with EMMI, but once you find the destroyed Central Unit, you will gain the Omega Cannon ability, which is only active for killing one EMMI. You should aim and shoot in the red eye of the EMMI with the Omega Cannon to kill it.
The first EMMI won’t drop any ability for you.
Next EMMI Robots
Unlike the first EMMI, the next EMMI robots will have a shield in front of their eye which should be destroyed by constantly shooting with Omega Cannon bullets, but equipping the Omega Cannon wouldn’t be as easy as the first mission.
During your progress, each time that you encounter an EMMI variant, you should first search for a room where the Central Unit is located. Once you destroyed the Central Unit, you will acquire the Omega Cannon. Now, you should head back to the area that the EMMI variant tried to follow you and wait for it to come.
Once arrived, you should shoot at the red-eye shield to destroy it and then use the Omega Blast to kill the EMMI.
