Players can rely on Hulkenberg and use the Jump Thrust Synthesis skill to inflict heavy pierce damage and wear down the defenses giving other party members enough time to strike. The Protagonist can hurt this boss with Blizz to exploit the ice weakness and heal allies in between.

Strohl can use different Pierce attacks to help trim the lengthy health bar. The party should be cautious of the incoming attacks and rely on the Protagonist to replenish their health whenever Grotesque Guptauros retaliates.
After a few uses of Blizz and Pierce attacks, Grotesque Guptauros will be defeated. Players will receive money, experience points, and a weapon called the Falchion which is a powerful weapon to acquire early in the game.
