Marvel Rivalsis a third-person hero shooter with ambitions to cultivate a competitive scene. To make a balanced game, developer NetEase has to design and curate each and every Hero to be strong enough to stay in the meta, but not too strong so that they overshadow others.

Still, anybody who has spent meaningful time in Quick Play or Ranked lobbies will tell you that there are some Heroes inMarvel Rivalswho arejust too overpowered for the skill level they require.

Marvel Rivals Iron Fist Moon Knight Rocket Raccoon

Don’t get me wrong–anybody can potentially carry with any Hero if they have the skills, but these characters offer so much with so little risk, and can quickly turn the tide of any fight. If you’re unfortunate to have these characters on the enemy team, chances are things are about to get frustrating.

Marvel Rivals: 10 Characters With Great Mobility

If you’re looking to get speedy and tricky in Marvel Rivals, characters like Iron Fist and Spider-Man will be perfect.

10Squirrel Girl

Like Junkrat, She’s A Pesky Rodent

Doreen is comic-accurately portrayed inMarvel Rivals, as she is just as overpowered in the game as she is in the comics.

Her explosive acorns deal a crazy amount of damage, and you barely have to aim thanks to their rather large hitbox and predictable trajectory. She’s the perfectOP character to play for any beginner.

The rest of her abilities are nothing to sneeze at, either. She can trap enemies, leap high up to unreachable areas, and can even reset her cooldowns. Her Ultimate also sends out a stampede of squirrels that bounce around walls.

Her kit may be simple, but a good Squirrel Girl player can dominate a matchwhile staying relatively unscathed.

9Moon Knight

Random BS Go!

The avatar of Khonshu doles out deadly justice to his foes with his crescent darts, ricocheting between his ankhs and enemies, dealing massive chip damage to anybody caught inside.

A clever playerwho positions Moon Knight’s ankhs just right could potentially melt an entire enemy team if they’re bunched up together, bouncing between them multiple times. Though he might struggle in a 1v1 setting, Moon Knight has incredible potential for massive team wipes.

And let’s not forget his Ultimate, which bombards enemies from above with Khonshu’s mighty hands.People don’t usually look directly up and naturally back away when they hear an enemy Ultimate, so experienced Moon Knight players often place the portal right behind enemy lines.

Moon Knight requires smart ankh positioning and careful maneuvering, but once you master his fundamentals, wiping out enemies becomes almost effortless.

Lethal And Unkillable Protector

Venom is agood tank. Maybe too good. Maybe, he might just need to be knocked down a peg or two. Venom’s entire kit revolves around diving and disrupting enemies, sending them to a panic while keeping himself alive with heavy reserves of bonus health.

Symbiotic Resilience gives him extra health based on missing health, and his Ultimate gives so much more, while dealing damage based on his enemy’s health.

Not only that, his tentacle attacks hit four timesand they can deal crit damage. And he can swing around like Spider-Man.If you want to defeat this Symbiote, you’d best bring your whole team.

Arrow To The Knee

When you think about the fact that Clint Barton is just a regular man fighting against mutants and gods, you might realize justhow ridiculously powerful his kit is.

As the resident archer of theMarvel Rivalsroster, Hawkeye’s arrows deals an insane amount of damage,one-shotting anybody with 250 health or less with a headshot and with full Focus.

His Ultimate, Hunter’s Sight, allows him to see the afterimages of his enemies, allowing him to still land his shots. In the steady hands of a player with decent aim, Hawkeye is a force not to be trifled with.

Goddess Of Hit Scans

Hela is a powerful Duelistwho, as her moniker suggests, is great at dealing death.

Her hitscan attacks are quick and can deal a lot of crit damage, easily two-shotting most squishies within range. Her Ultimate also transforms her into a damage spongewhile she sends down a barrage of explosive crows at her enemies.

Even though she becomes an easy target, trying to kill Hela while she’s high up in the air during her Ultimate is a waste of time, because she’ll just transform back to her original form.

Marvel Rivals: 14 Best Tips For Beginners

Marvel Rivals is climbing the player base, and new players are joining the game. Check out our 14 Best Beginner tips curated for new players.

One-Man Army

All things considered, the Punisher’s kit is plain and simple, but plain and simple can be still be devastating.

With a stereotypical soldier’s arsenal, the Punisher excels at filling his enemies with lead. While his guns are pretty balanced, his Culling Turret can give anyOverwatchveteran flashbacksto the nightmarish days of the Bastion-Reinhardt combo.

Not only that, his Ultimate, “Final Judgment” turns him into a walking weapons platform, complete with gatling guns and missile launchers. Now imagine a single Punisher backed up by a team of healers and tanks with shields. Terrifying.

4Winter Soldier

Again! Again! Again!

You might noticesomeMarvel Rivalclips floating around the netlately, where a Winter Soldier player wipes an enemy team with only his Ultimate. If that’s not broken, I don’t know what is.

Winter Soldier’s Ultimate, Kraken Impact, deals damage in an AOE and debuffs enemies, which instantly kills them if their health falls below a threshold of 20% of its max.Any enemy who dies with that debuff instantly refreshes the Ultimate meter, allowing Winter Soldier to cast it again.

Nothing brings more dread than a Winter Soldier yelling “again!” over and over as your teammates fall like flies.

You’re Gonna Need A Bigger Boat

Anybody who’s been on the receiving end of Jeff’s Ultimate can tell you thatthey hate him with a burning passion.

We all know why Jeff is on this list. Not because of his healing stream of infinite range, nor is it his healing bubbles.

It’s because of his Ultimate -his dreadful, team-wiping Ultimate that instantly swallows everyone within a ridiculously wide radius.Oh, you’re high up in the air? Think again. Jeff’s Ultimate doesn’t just swallow anybody in the ground.

The officialMarvel Rivalswebsite states in Jeff’s info that his Ultimate has a 10m spherical range, meaning you’re not safe in the air, nor are you safe anywhere near him.

His Ultimate’s hitbox is also ridiculously unbalanced - countless times have I dashedoutside of Jeff’s Ultimate circle, only to find myself trapped inside his mouth. As soon as you hear Jeff go “nom, nom, nom,” it’s time to fall off a cliff.

1Iron Fist

Screaming

There’s nothing that inspires primal terror more than an Iron Fist coming at you. This master of martial arts has the fanbase collectively terrified of him, as he can easily chase down targets with his rapid-fire punches and triple jumps that can get him to just about anywhere on the map.

Don’t let his melee abilities fool you, either,as no flying Hero is safe from Lin Lie’s fists.Iron Fist can easily chase down Iron Man with his auto-locking melee attacks, and can negate any and all damage with his “Dragon’s Defense” parries.

Not only that, just when you think he’s about to die, he can bring himself back to full health with “Harmony Recovery.” How can one Hero have so many powerful abilities?

Iron Fist is a force to be reckoned with.Any player with a basic understanding of his kit can become a monster in a match. There’s absolutely no doubt that NetEase is going to nerf Iron Fist to the ground eventually.
