D3 Publisher, after acountdown teaser,officially announcedMaglam Lordfor PS4 and Switch, coming in Japan this Winter. Anofficial siteandTwitter pagewere opened as well. Here’s everything revealed on the game.Maglam Lordis officially described as a “magic sword creation Action RPG”. The official site reads: “The protagonist is the most evil of all demon lords, theMaglam Lord. But after waking up from a long slumber, it turns out they’re now an endangered species?! To make their comeback, they decide to craft new magic swords and fight together with their comrades. To avoid extinction, they even start marriage hunting among their friends, and might even hook up with a hero? A brand new Action RPG starts now.“Maglam Lordwill be a single player game. Players will be able to pick between the female or male protagonist when starting a new game. Famitsu described it as hack n slash gameplay, defeating monsters to collect materials and create better swords.

The protagonist. Sword Demon Lord Killrizark. A demon lord that would defeat anyone daring to bother it, be it gods or devils. They were considered a threat to the world, and were subjugated. That’s how they fell in a long sleep, to recover their strength. Now, they’re an endangered species, but don’t plan on staying put and will keep fighting anyone who stands in their path. The male version is voiced byRyuichi Kijima, and the female version isAkari Kito. Her mainstream-est role is Nezuko inKimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer).
Satius, a faithful servant who kept preparing for the return of the Sword Demon Lord. Satius is talented in martial arts, but she’s also proficient in magic and a very knowledgeable person. She takes care of the protagonist, who’s always doing whatever they please. She supports them but sometimes rebuke them and is always there for them. As if being dissatisfied she can’t do more for her master, she can be heard sighing a lot. Satius is voiced byAtsumi Tanezaki,who most notably voiced Iori Fuyusaka in13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim.
Famitsu revealed this artwork and teased more characters with these screenshots. Additional information will be available in this week’s Famitsu magazine.

As previously revealed,Maglam Lordis developed by Felistella, the studio who makesSummon Night. The scenario and world building ofMaglam Lordis handled byMiyakozuki Kei, the author of theSummon Nightseries. The character design is byLack,mangaka of one of theGoblin Slayer Gaidenspinoffs, and also the chara designer of Okada Izo inFGO.PureSound, who worked on theSummon Nightseries and theMetal Maxseries, is credited for the BGM. Lastly, the main theme is byChiaki Fujitafrom rock band Sing Like Talking.
