Luigi’s Mansion 3has had a very impressive debut indeed in the UK as it enters the number two spot on the chart data for the week ending 2nd November. The Nintendo title performed its triumph mostly down to going on sale 24 hours longer thanSuper Mario Maker 2andThe Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, as it launched to coincide with Halloween on Thursday, rather than the traditional Friday release, but this doesn’t take away from the fact that the game is a lot of fun to play.

This news is an incredible pat on the back for Nintendo given how popularSuper Mario Maker 2andThe Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakeningis but Nintendo had a strong belief thatLuigi’s Mansion 3would do well on the Switch, also coupled with the title receiving headline billing duringE3 this year. The titles opening sales are 140% higher than that ofLuigi’s Mansion: Dark Moonwhich doesn’t even include digital sales due to Nintendo not sharing digital figures.Luigi’s Mansion 3can, for now, soak up their success and enjoy it while it lasts asPokémon Sword and Shieldis set to arrive on November 15 which will probably seeLuigiget pushed down the charts.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfarejumped in to steal the number one slot with sales down just 49% from its launch week which is an impressive second week for the popular shooter. The Outer Worldsslides to number five after sitting on the number four spot last week andMedieviljust about grabs the 10th position which still secures it in the UK top 10 charts for now.
