The Glaivier was thefirst class addedafter the initial launch ofLost Ark. They have great offensive and defensive capabilities through the use of swapping between two weapons; aSpearand aGlaive. We’re going to guide you through you an interesting build we’ve come up with that makes clearing Chaos Dungeons even simpler than you thought they may be. This build will help both new and more seasoned Glaivier players that want to speed up theirChaos Dungeonruns.
There are many builds you can make depending on how you want to play the class, however, the build we’ve chosen relies on a lesser-known engraving. It is often overlooked in other forms of content, but thePreemptive Strike Combat Engravingis one of the best choices to make inChaos Dungeons. (A more detailed explanation can be found here). In addition, we’ve chosen to also include thePinnacleClass Engraving to further enhance the clearing time. TheControlEngraving is useful too but doesn’t quite give the same versatility as the red spear skills.

Glaivier Utilizing Preemptive Strike in a Chaos Dungeon
Skills To Use In Chaos Dungeons As A Glaivier
At the start, wait until the majority of enemies have spawned, then continue moving so that you do not take too much damage. Once you see the enemies grouped up, slash them all away with powerful hitting abilities such asShackling Blue Dragon,Raging Dragon Slash,Windsplitter, andCutting Wind. All of these skills should be able to one-hit kill normal enemies. Use the remaining skills for clean-up and to generate more Identity Gauge. Once that is full, swap to the red spear stance and useRed Dragon’s Horn,Starfall Pounce, andThrust of Destruction. Again, use the remaining skills to generate more Identity Gauge and swap back to the Glaive stance skills and repeat.
In the next zone, clear the Named enemies by gathering them around and use eitherShackling Blue Dragon, orRed Dragon’s Horn(depending on which stance you are in). Try to kill 2 or 3 of them as this should be enough to reset all your cooldowns so that they are ready for the next group of Named enemies. Use the remaining skills to clean up the rest of the Normal enemies. Once more Named enemies spawn, repeat the process.

For theChallenge-typeenemy at the end of this zone, either use theRed Dragon’s Hornor yourAwakening Skillto quickly dispatch of them.
Here’s a table detailing which Glaivier skills to choose as well as a brief description of the purpose of that skill. The skills below are sorted by which target they perform well against (in order of lowest to highest HP: Normal, Named, Challenge, Boss).

Here are the engravings that aresupplementaryto the Glaivier class in general.
Glaivier Gem Priority In Chaos Dungeons
As detailed in the skills table above, the 4 highest damaging skills should be the focus of both Damage and Cooldown Reduction Gems. This will be useful for not only Chaos Dungeons, but also for other types of content.
Stat Allocation
Stat allocation comes from the Accessories (Necklace, Earring, and Rings). It can be very expensive to have a different set of Accessories for Chaos Dungeons so you should choose those stats based on the class engraving you’ve chosen to play.
Tripod Skill Tree Effects
At aTransfer Skill Tree NPC, you should transfer tripod skill tree effects from looted gear to your equipped gear (don’t forget to save them in the Tripod inventory tab too for multiple builds). Not every Tripod can be leveled up so here are the Tripods that can be affected by Skill Tree Effects that are used in this Chaos Dungeon build:
