Riot Gameshas provided a breakdown of all the new content coming toLoL: Wild Riftwith the ‘High Five’ update on May 16. It introduces two new champions, Urgot and Twitch, as well as new items, ranked changes, events, and the NOVA set that includes exclusive skins for Lee Sin, Morgana, Lucian, Nasus, and Riven.
Urgot and Twitch will join the roster of playable heroes with the new update. As for the Dreadnought, his gameplay will not differ so much from his League of Legends counterpart. Urgot is one of the most hated champions in the game, with his busted-up Zaun tech and brute force making it frustrating to play against him in the top lane. Twitch, on the other hand, will likely feature the same kit as its original version. Players will rely on the character’s ambush ability to catch enemies off guard, as they can also combine Contaminate and Spray to deal a certain amount of damage.

The update also brings new events tied to the release of Urgor and Twitch. Players must complete missions to unlock Trivia questions and test their knowledge to earn rewards. They can also join the ‘Twitch’s Ambush’ event which serves as a satisfying starter pack event both for old and new Twitch players. Additionally, the ‘Prestige’ level system will be introduced with patch 4.1, allowing players to earn ‘stars’ to showcase in their profile. It will be available once players hit level 40, and Riot Games is now looking for new ways to add rewards to the system.
Players will also see some changes to existing items. For instance, Brumble Vest and Sunfire Cape will receive small adjustments while Force of Nature will receive a new passive. It allows players to collect stacks by taking ability damage to gain movement speed and reduce all magical damage. As for Wild Pass Season 9, players can grab their Ascended skin and Superhero Vi by completing tasks from the Wild Pass Emporium.
Lastly, the NOVA set will be available to purchase starting on May 16, which includes skins for Morgana, Lee Sin, Lucian, Nasus, and Riven. Arcade Ezreal, Battle Boss Brand, Cosmic Lux, and Omega Squad Twitch are among the skins included in the update.
