It is impossible to forget when Kylo Ren killed Han Solo. Firstly, killing Tekka doesn’t guarantee the elimination of the map to Luke Skywalker, as other copies or sources could exist. Ren’s belief that Tekka held the sole knowledge of Luke’s whereabouts seems shortsighted.
Furthermore, Ren’s connection to Tekka, implied by their conversation, hints at a deeper history between them that remains unexplored. Killing Tekka without further exploration of their relationship leaves a significant gap and undermines the complexity of Ren’s character, which fans now wish could have been done otherwise.
Overall, Ren’s decision to kill Tekka appears more as a plot device to establish his villainy rather than a logical progression of his character arc, making it an inconsistency that fans to this day cannot make peace with.
