The announcement has taken netizens by surprise, with many of them making guesses about whether it is for a Marvel series that has already been announced or for an upcoming unannounced project (seeX).

Originally titledSpider-Man: Freshman Year, the upcoming MCU series will feature another version of the origin tale of the famous web-slinger. Set in an alternate timeline, but within the MCU, the series will explore Peter Parker’s origin story to becoming Spider-Man.
