As the anime is nearing its end, the dormant players are starting to pick up their weapons. The recent one to join that list is Monkey D. Garp.
In episode 1114, Hachinosu Island and the fans experienced his powers. His Galaxy Impact almost wiped out the entire island. But the fans are believing otherwise. Even though the plot is going at a great pace, they are unsatisfied with the animation. The latest one had the fans go up to Reddit and share their opinions regarding the matter.
Galaxy Impact Failed To Leave An Impression
After watching Shanks vs. Eustass Kid, theOne Piecefandom had high hopes regarding episode 1114. The episode would feature Monkey D. Garp showcasing his monstrous strength. HisGalaxy Impactcreated a lot of hype, but it failed to deliver. The only impression it left was unsatisfactory. AfterKobywas kidnapped by Blackbeard, the Hero of the Marines and his crew went to him.

Everyone was touched by Garp’s words when he said Koby is the future of the Marines and his loved pupil. For his loved pupil, he entered a Yonko territory without any extra forces. While the move did create a crater on Hachinosu, the fans were disappointed with the animation.
During the Wano arc, they have been complaining about the animation. It felt too childish and resembled the animation of the late 2010s. Toei Animation is one of the best in the industry, but compared to MAPPA and Ufotable, it barely improved its animation quality.

One PieceEpisode 1114 had the fans jumping with joy after Monkey D. Garp recreated his grandson’s entry from the Marineford arc. Moreover, the Galaxy Impact had everyone grooving. But still, it felt out of place with the animation. Many fans took up their issues on Reddit and lashed out. They were expecting the anime to deliver some classic modern-day animation.

It is not always necessary to make every episode have these animation sequences. The best animations can be reserved for the best scenes. With the anime nearing its end, each episode will have crucial incidents. The studio needs to carefully animate them to make the fans happy.
