In the Nara period of Japan, much before the events of the show, Master Tegen began to spread Buddhism andpreached the foundations ofJujutsu societythat would eventually become the structure seen in the show. As a large group of people saw Master Tengen as a god, theybegan to worship them as the “Star” and became the Star Religious Group.

Over the years, the group would maintain this worship of Master Tengen and wouldbecome known as Children Of The Star. This organization became incredibly wealthy and powerful over the yearsdespite having no Jujutsu Sorcerers within its congregation.

Views On The Star Plasma Vessel

The Star Religious Group sees Master Tengen as a god, and the idea ofmerging with a human would only ruin their godhood.The Star Religious Group doesn’t have any Jujutsu Sorcerers totry and kill the Vesselbut decides to hire an assassin to eliminate the Vessel to maintain Master Tengen’s purity. Using their wealth and power, they offerToji Fishiguro30 million yen to kill the Vessel. Ultimately this act puts them at odds with Jujutsu High, which is the cornerstone of the Jujutsu community,eventually leading to the disbanding of the Star Religious Group.
