Jujustu Kaisenis full of characters who have unique cursed techniques, making every fight an interesting match-up as different abilities clash and counter one another. In the Shibuya Incident arc, almost every major character from both sides has their time in the spotlight, including Haruta.

Haruta was shown in the previous season during the attack on Jujutsu High, but his cursed technique didn’t come up. Later in Shibuya, Haruta mentions that his cursed technique is the only thing that saved him from Nanami’s attacks, but how exactly does his technique work?
What Is Haruta’s Cursed Technique
Haruta’scursed techniqueis called “Miracles.” This techniquetakes little and insignificant miracles in Haruta’s life,such as seeing a clock with all of the same numbers andtaking the memory from Haruta.These taken memories arestored up as the marks seen under Haruta’s eyesand act asemergency miracles that will be used up when his life is in danger.

Haruta’s technique willuse one of these miracles to save him from a possibly fatal encounter,as seen when Nanami hits Haruta with all of his force, and Nobara drops to concrete on Haruta’s head. After a miracle is used up,one of the marks under Haruta’s eyes will turn white and become almost unnoticeable.Haruta himself doesn’t fully understand how his technique works andthinks of himself as incredibly luckyfor having it when nearly escaping deadly encounters.
How Powerful Is Haruta
Cursed Techniques tend to be the pinnacle of power in the Jujutsu world, andHaruta’s technique is more defensive in nature.With this, Harutautilizes a unique cursed sword in combatbut isn’t a very strong fighter. Harutadoes carefully read situations and will take out weaker enemieswhilerunning away from stronger ones,making him look more powerful than he actually is in the fights he engages in. Haruta has beenseen to run from a fight immediately after being outnumberedbut will stay and fight in solo combat against an enemy he thinks he can beat, such as Nobara.
Haruta’s cursed weapon is asword with a hand as the handle.This sworddoes have some level of sentience and will move on its ownusing the hand that’s the handle to crawl around. Haruta is alsoconnected to the sword and is able to tell what, if anything, is around the sword.Haruta’s exact rank compared to Jujustus Sorcerers is unknown, but he is shown tonot even stand a chance against a Grade Asorcerer like Nanami.
