Deaths inJujutsu Kaisenare a common occurrence, not just for the Curses, but for the Sorcerers too. After all, when a show is set in a world where two huge powers are constantly fighting, the outcome is death for either of them. Obviously, it feels good to see the Curses being brought to their knees by the Sorcerers, and it feels bad when the latter dies at the hands of the former. There’s a thick line that divides the two, and there’s no question about who’s good or who’s bad.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Why Did Toji Fushiguro Sacrifice Himself?
Toji’s sacrifice will be remembered by Megumi forever.
When a character has been a part of the story for a long time, and their survival is suddenly in doubt, fans naturally become attached to them. This holds true even if that character happens to be a Curse. Jogo might be a Curse, but he has given us some really memorable treats within the series that make him a lovable character to watch.
The Battle Between The Curses
Sukuna doesn’t play well with others. Whether they’re a Curse or not, he doesn’t hesitate to harm anyone, including his own kind. His actions are driven by his whims, and he takes pleasure in choosing who lives or dies based on his ever-changing mood. Perhaps that’s why Jogo came to regret feeding the Fingers to Yuji and awakening Sukuna. He likely didn’t anticipate that in doing so, he would also have to confront the fury of the King of Curses.
Yet, Sukuna, with his ever-playful nature, offers Jogo a deal, daring him to land a single successful blow. In return, Sukuna would work for Jogo, and the latter accepted his challenge instantly. So now the battle between the Curses starts. In a fiery confrontation, Jogo unleashes his attacks while Sukuna swiftly evades all of them and overpowers Jogo with ease, crashing the poor Curse through buildings and ground.

With no other option left, Jogo unleashes his final attack, “Maximum Meteor,” launching a giant flaming meteor at Sukuna, decimating a large part of the city. However, Sukuna emerges unharmed. In a surprising twist, Sukuna reveals his hidden fire powers that we see for the first time, and in the final exchange of fire powers, Sukuna defeats Jogo.
Does Jogo Die In The Battle?
Despite being a fire user, Jogo is defeated by Sukuna’s flames. Talk about defeating someone in their own game! In a strange vision, Jogo sees himself with his fallen comrades Hanami and Dagon, where the Curses share an emotional moment. Sukuna appears in the vision too, and he compliments Jogo for giving him his first good fight in a long time, bringing tears to his eyes.In the present, Jogo’s body is ablaze, and Sukuna observes the Curse’s fiery demise with a chilling gaze. Unfortunately, this is the end for Jogo, and he never makes a return in the series.
