Well, turns out the one simple episode from the series helped Heinz (the ketchup company) rake in millions! It wasn’t originally meant to be like this but Heinz company andMad Mendid something called reversed product placement.

Back in 2007, Matthew Weiner created the iconic seriesMad Menstarring Jon Hamm, January Jones, and, other actors in an ensemble cast. With the lead characters working in an advertising agency, the show accidentally made a brilliant move for Heinz.

According to a reel onInstagram, the show and Heinz did something called reversed product placement. With the show promoting the tagline“Pass the Heinz”,Heinz company approached Jon Hamm’s series and struck a deal with AMC and Lionsgate for rights to the idea. The campaign titled“Pass the Heinz”was released in 2017 and the“ads became the most efficient and talked about in Heinz history”.
Not only that but due to the fan-following of the series, the campaign generated 2.6 billion media impressions and also a 4540% return on investment! That’s quite an iconic feat in the world of marketing and Heinz and Jon Hamm’sMad Menperformed it beautifully!

In an interview, Jon Hamm revealed that he would someday love to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According toScreenRant, the actor revealed that the decisions were made at such a high level that it was simply above his pay grade!

“Those decisions get made at such a high level at this point, definitely above my pay grade. I would love to. I’ve been a fan of Marvel Comics and comics in general since I was probably single digits. I think there are tons of stories that I’m familiar with, at least, that are still out there to be told.”
