Joaquin Phoenix’sJoker: Folie à DeuxIs Said To Be A Musical
The title of theJokersequel refers to a medical term for a mental disorder that affects two or more individuals. While fans expect a psychological thriller from Todd Phillips, there have been hints that the new movie will be a musical love story between Arthur Fleck and Dr. Harleen Quinzel. The new photos from Phillips also suggest the possibility of a musical film.
Lady Gaga’s Dr. Quinzel is assigned to treat Fleck, but her curiosity for the nihilistic personality eventually turns into obsession. While mental health and disorders are prominent themes in the sequel as well, it is notable that the first film received widespread criticism for its handling of the subject. Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, and Steve Coogan have been cast in new roles, whileZazie Beetzreprises her role from the first film.
