Phoenix seems to love the character so much that it’s highly unlikely he would back out from it if the Broadway show actually happened – but what if he did? Just like when he got “cold feet” withTodd Haynes’ untitled gay romance film.
Everything was all set in Guadalajara, Mexico, where they will shoot the movie. Perhaps the actor changed his mind and thought he could not pull off the gay role which involves a lot of explicit s*xual content.

Studios and filmmakers might get wary of working with Phoenix following his embarrassing exit from Haynes’ movie. No one would want to take the risk, not even Phillips. When asked if there’s going to be aJoker 3, he said they were able to explore the character in two films and that was enough.
Whether they truly planned to end the franchise withJoker 2or the director knew Phoenix had some anxious tendencies, fans should not expect too much unless otherwise stated.
