Back in 1999, Jamie Foxx starred in the sports drama film,Any Given Sunday.There, he worked alongside his hero, LL Cool J, and let’s just say that things got out of hand pretty quickly.
The two actors got into a heated mess one fine day and ended up engaging in an intense fistfight. As far as Jamie Foxx is concerned, though, everyone was fighting on the set ofAny Given Sunday.The actor openly talked about his brawl with theDeep Blue Seaactor and recalled how they messed each other up and how, luckily, he didn’t get knocked out at the hands of LL Cool J.

Jamie Foxxsat down for a discussion onThe Howard Stern Show and the host brought up the time he was filming Any Given Sunday. When Howard Stern asked him if it was true that he and LL Cool J got into a fistfight, Foxx didn’t bother to deny it at all.
In fact, he got into the details of the anecdote and recalled what exactly went down onOliver Stone’s set. First of all, Foxx revealed that“Everybody was so f*cking crazy on that movie”and that there would be a fight every day.

Foxx stated that another factor in their fight was Stone revving it up a bit. Now, why would a film director want his actors to beat each other up? Well, Foxx was a huge fan of LL Cool J and Stone knew that if he kept looking at his co-star as his hero, the film just might not work out the way he had intended it to.
I think Oliver Stone revved it. Because I think what we needed at that time, I was a huge fan of LL Cool Jand Oliver Stone kept saying, ‘That’s going to hurt you in my f*cking film if you still think this guy’s your hero.’ I said, ‘Oliver, when LL Cool J was at the House of Blues, I was in the audience. He threw his jacket, I caught it. That’s how big a fan I am.’
Coming back to the fight, Foxx revealed that both sides of the scuffle threw some serious blows at each other but luckily, no one passed out.

When asked about the intensity of the fight and just how far did they take it, Foxx revealed that it sure“got kind of crazy.”They were clocking each other in the face but the actor admitted that he did have a helmet on the entire time.

As for if LL Cool J can throw a serious punch, Foxx revealed without hesitation,“Hell, yeah!”He also stated that somewhere, the entire fistfight was on tape. As for their equation after the scuffle, Foxx admitted that they decided to get through the movie regardless of what happened and that everything is well and good now.
Now when they see each other, they laugh about it together and there is no bad blood between the actors.
