Gege Akutami is a brainiac at their work and surely knows how to write amazing dynamics, one of the prime examples being Mahito and Itadori. Different yet similar could be a perfect way, to sum up these two characters from Gege Akutami’s magnum opus, ‘Jujutsu Kaisen‘.
However, one misconception among the masses is that Sukuna is a mirror of Itadori Yuiji, his former vessel. The statement was proved wrong in the latest chapter ofJujutsu Kaisen, where Yuji’s cursed technique was hinted at, which is very similar to his most hated adversary, Mahito.

It’s common knowledge among the fanbase that Gege is very lazy and often slacks off but they surely went all in to write the Yuji and Mahito dynamic inJujutsu Kaisen.
Mahito is this whimsical psychopathic madman who runs around, causing nothing but suffering and chaos to innocent civilians, while Yuji is the hero chasing him down, trying to make sense of his madness.
However, due to misconceptions by viewers, many started believing Sukuna to be the mirror of Itadori Yuji instead of Mahito. Luckily, the latest chapter of the franchise shattered all the wrong assumptions and teased the audience with Yuji’s cursed technique.

With the story edging close to its closure, it was about time Gege delivered a well-deserved power up to Itadori, who has been the victim of suffering since Shibuya started. The latest chapter revealed Yuji had the power to deal blows to the soul.
In the instance where you read the quote, the only possible character that comes to mind is none other than Mahito, whom Itadori killed in Shibuya.
Despite Mahito being long gone from the story, Gege continues to emphasize his preeminence in Itadori’s journey and depicts that the real mirror for him was Mahito rather than Ryomen Sukuna, The King of Curses.

What happened in Chapter 249 ofJujutsu Kaisen?
Chapter 249 ofJujutsu Kaisenwas one of the most thrilling chapters of the entire series. It divulged Yuta’s domain, Yuji’s cursed technique, and the possibility of Megumi returning alive.
The long-awaited clash between the king of curses and the queen of curses finally commenced, with both sides testing the water and not going all in from the get-go. Yuta’s domain was revealed to the audience and is titled “True and Mutual Love.” It brings forth several hundred swords.

The specialty of the swords is that they all represent the techniques Yuta has copied ever since he became a Jujutsu sorcerer. It also illustrates the wide range of arsenal Yuta has, which might pose a threat to Sukuna.
With Yuta already being a nuisance to Sukuna, his cursed spirit Rika is also giving Sukuna a run for his money, and with her already consumed vast spirit Kenjaku passed, she might also have some ace up her sleeves.
It would be interesting to see how Sukuna escapes this situation or whether Yuta joins his sensei at the airport.
