TheStar Warsuniverse has interesting characters and periods that tell many stories. However, one of the most popular stories in the franchise remains that of Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader and his rise and fall as a Jedi. As a result, it is shocking that the only other character who rivals Vader’s Force abilities and story arc has been largely ignored.

Under Kathleen Kennedy’s reign, severalStar Warsprojects have been commissioned for streaming services. However, shows likeThe Acolyteproved to be complete duds and fans largely turned their backs on such projects. As a result, Kennedy must revisit one popular character that has largely been forgotten.
Kathleen Kennedy Should’ve Greenlit a Galen Marek / Starkiller Project OverThe Acolyte
Galen Marek / Starkiller was first introduced in theStar Wars: The Force Unleashedvideo game and is an apprentice of Darth Vader. The character’s arc has elements similar to Vader’s story. Starkiller is also very powerful with the Force, rivaling the abilities of his master.
In the games, Starkiller isshownto be so strong with the Force that he can crash down an entire spaceship on a planet with his abilities. He is also proficient in all seven forms of lightsaber combat along with other powerful dark side Force abilities.

The games now fall under the Legends continuity, effectively rendering Starkiller as a non-canon character. However, givenThe Acolyte‘s recent failurein creating a character similar to Darth Vader,Kathleen Kennedymust look at introducing Starkiller into the canon with his own solo project.

For several years, fans of the galaxy far, far away have called for the character to be integrated into the canon. However, such an appearance hasn’t quite materialized. Nonetheless, given the lack of powerful dark-side characters in the current era, Starkiller’s introduction makes a lot of sense for the franchise.
Galen Marek / Starkiller Actor Sam Witwer Teased Live-Action Debut
In the video games,Star WarsveteranSam Witwerplayed the role of Galen Marek / Starkiller, providing voice and motion capture for the character. As a result, it is only natural for fans to expect the actor to take over the role if and when the character isbrought into the live-action fold.
During an appearance at a fan convention, Witwer wasaskedabout potentially reprising the role of Starkiller in the current live-action canon. In response, the actor stated:

I would shave my head tomorrow.
Witwer’s comments suggest that he would be game for reprising the role. However, the actor also noted that unless the appearance is a cameo, introducing Starkiller in the canon would require significant screen time which might be tricky.

Moreover, when Witwer revealed that he had worked on the first season ofAhsoka, many fans speculated that he would be playing Starkiller. However, Witwer only did additional voice work for the series. Nonetheless, fans can certainly hope that the character could appear inthe show’s impending second season, which is currently in development.
