People calling this bad writing when it literally makes perfect sense for the characters

Makers are completely self-sabotage at this point with their penchant for shock value. Not!Alyssa in the previous episode and this scene in the latest one are totally unnecessary and ruining the show. Rhaenyra is a lost cause. I’m just here for Daemon and Dragons now.
