The show took off in 2023 and centered on senior citizens getting a second chance at finding the one. While the first season focused on Gerry Turner, it did not play out how viewers had hoped.
After a marriage and a rather quick divorce 3 months later, it looks like season 2 might also end up being a little bit of a failure even though Joan Vassos’ time on the show is just beginning.

Their split came because neither of them wanted to leave their lives behind, and long distance just wasn’t cutting it. But a report fromTHRrevealed there was a lot more than people did not know.
After news of the divorce made headlines, it ended up being revealed that a lot of what Turner had said on the show had been a lie. The report stated that while he had given the world a sob story about staying single after the passing of his wife, Toni, it just was not true. The bachelor had even been in a 10-month serious relationship after the demise of his wife back in 2017. Although that was the biggest lie he had told, it wasn’t the only one. However, her time on the show was cut short when she chose to leave and take care of her daughter, who was dealing with postpartum depression. Now, the 61-year-old has kicked off the first season ofThe Golden Bachelorette.
Although fans seemingly love watching her journey of love unfold, it looks like the odds may be stacked against her. According to a report fromScreenRant, none of the contestants vying for her heart were located close to her hometown of Rockland.
