Jonathan Majors was on track to become the next big thing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After his very first appearance inLokiseason one, his Kang was all set to be the main villain of the superhero world, someone who was going to put Thanos to shame. However, everything fell apart for the actor when he was accused and later found guilty in a domestic violence case.

Well, the Marvel Studios are moving on without him and there are a handful of actors who are fan favorites and are well-suited to fill in Jonathan Majors’ shoes. One such name is Luke James, a singer and actor who recently starred inThem: The Scare. While he could make a good Kang, he himself withdrew his name from the running.

A Well Known High Budget Actor to Replace Jonathan Majors as Kang Prime: MCU Rumor Sheds Light on Future of The Council of Kangs
Don’t get him wrong, though, he would love to be a part of the MCU, just not as Kang. He told the publication,
Marvel as a whole? Yes. Kang the Conqueror? No. But I wouldn’t not not take the meeting. There are so many brilliant characters, because I mean, it’s so many characters. There are so many characters I would love a take at.

There you have it; James is open to any and all ideas and wouldn’t outright say no to something without hearing the studio out first. However, his disinterest in playing Kang is enough to tell us that even if he joins the MCU, it won’t be as him.
There is Another Villain Luke James Wants to Play
Who wouldn’t want to be a part of the MCU thanks to the success of the franchise? Many actors have a dream Marvel character that they would want to bring to life and James is no different.

While he told The Direct that he wouldn’t want to play Kang, there is another Marvel villain that James wouldn’t mind getting his hands dirty with – Thrasher. He revealed that Thrasher was one of his favorite characters as a kid especially due to the fact that he got to know him through Spider-Man.
I know it’s going to throw people: Thrasher. As a kid, I loved Thrasher, especially when I was introduced to him via Spider-Man. I just thought that was really cool. I skateboard. I thought it was really sick.

While Thrasher is a non-superpowered vigilante, he uses his advanced body armor suit, firearms, and his trusted skateboard to win fights against his enemies. Also known as Dwayne Taylor, Thrasher is a master in martial arts, a skilled acrobat, and a weapon designer. He is also well-versed in computer tapping and hacking and possesses the ability to have mental barriers that save him from telepathic and mental attacks.
James certainly chose one of the most unique characters in the Marvel world! On the other side of the universe, James revealed that he would want to play Captain Adam in the DCU.
