Xbox Game Showcase 2024 surprised everyone when it announced the newGears of War: E-Day.This made the whole community buzz as there were rumors aboutGears of Warmaking a comeback, but this soon was not expected.
The game will be set 14 years before the originalGears of Warand includes war heroes like Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago as they face a new nightmare: the Locust Horde. Players are too excited and want a few modes to make a comeback in the upcoming title.
Fans Want a Few Modes to Make a Return in Gears of War: E-Day
After the announcement ofGears of War: E-Day,players have many questions about various things, from the release dates to the different modes it will have. However, there are certain modes that players most want in the upcoming title: Horde and Overrun.
Horde Mode was introduced in the second iteration of the franchise, requiring 5 players to join up and defeat waves of enemies. There are around 50 waves of enemies, and each wave’s difficulty increases to keep the players on their toes. Overrun Mode was introduced withGears of War: Judgement, requiring 2 teams of players to defend and attack the Generator.

This suggestion sparked a huge debate in the community and players started suggesting how the combination would work out.
