The music industry boasts a number of brilliant artists whose music has garnered the attention of fans across the world, transcending boundaries and influencing generations with their unique talent. Among these many great artists, often while talking of the West, artists like Kayne West, Jay-Z, Rihanna, and Beyoncé are named as the leaders and GOATS.

However, the British-Sri Lankan artist M.I.A. has a beef to pick with them and recently claimed she is the reason why they became such successful artists.
M.I.A. makes bold claims of making artists like Jay-Z billionaires
M.I.A. is one of the leading musical artists when it comes to the world of hip-hop and has given several chart-topping and award-winning hits throughout her career. In an interview with thePBD Podcast, the singer was discussing her time with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation and her experience with the music mogul. In the conversation, thePaper Planeshitmaker claimed she brought back the original hip-hop genre to the United States, which artists like Jay-Z capitalized upon and made tons of money.
I had the template that was radical and the edge that hip-hop needed… [I] brought it back to America in a different form and shape… and by then hip-hop had already moved into finance… I brought back the old-school version of hip-hop… it reignited something else.

M.I.A. then revealed how her close relationship with the label that owned these four artists ended up influencing her life in a negative way, where these four artists climbed up the ranks of fame by ‘throwing her under the bus.’
But then, it got repackaged by hip-hop… it did influence a lot of Kanye’s taste or Rihanna’s taste, and Beyoncé’s taste. What happened with those four artists like Jay-Z, Kanye, Beyoncé, and Rihanna, my stuff did affect them and then made them into billionaires… It happened in a very nasty way where the thing that was thrown under the bus was me… I was like the sacrificial lamb.

While M.I.A. called her version of the story facts, her claims have not been received well by the public. Needless to say, the singer’s claims are not only shocking but hard to believe by not only her fans but also fans of the artists she named.
