Helldivers 2‘s first major update,Escalation of Freedom, has been announced, but some players have claimed that Arrowhead Game Studios still failed to add this obvious feature to the game.

The Helldivers 2 Community Wants Arrowhead To Add An Armor Decay System
AHelldivers 2player has pointed out on the r/Helldivers2 subreddit that players’ armor should have some sort of decay in the form of scratches and indents when they are flown across the map, adding that the damage should be more for light armor and less for heavy armor.
A player suggested that the same should be applied to enemies, as their armor should eventually wear out even with non-penetrating ammo, as this visible damage would make the game much more realistic. Obviously, a non-penetrating bullet cannot rip apart an armored enemy, but there should be some visible damage to their armor.
