Two and a Half Menwas an iconic sitcom that brought several beloved characters to the television screens. While the show primarily revolved around Charlie Sheen’s character, Charlie Harper, Jon Cryer’s portrayal of Alan Harper was also significant and had numerous love interests on the show, from his wife Judith to Brandy.
Although Alan often seemed unlucky in love, there was one plotline involving Judith’s sister Liz that Reddit fans would have loved to see explored further.
Fans Wanted More of Alan and Liz onTwo and a Half Men
Jon Cryer‘s role inTwo and a Half Menwas filled with several hilarious moments. The show started with his character, Alan, trying to mend his broken marriage with Judith. While this was amusing in itself, the first season also brought an intriguing storyline featuring Judith’s sister Liz, played by Teri Hatcher.
Although she appeared in only one episode, her plotline is still a topic of conversation among fans even years later. A Reddit user recently posted about the episode featuring Liz, wondering if theshowhad other plans for her character, as well as for Judith’s other blonde sister that the audience never got to know.
After seeing the post, users flooded the comments, discussing how more of Liz on the show could have added depth to Alan’s story arc.
Interestingly, Liz had a wild s*xual encounter with Charlie during Alan and Judith’s wedding in the coatroom. But the kicker in the midst of this was the fact that she doesn’t remember it happening, leaving Charlie utterly perplexed. In season 1, she makes an appearance during Jake’s 11th birthday, fully ready to stir up trouble again.

After this several hilarious sequences take place, with the sisters using both brothers in an act of revenge. But ultimatelybackingout, further leaving the entire drama unresolved.

Two and a Half Menwas dominating television after its premiere in 2003, but things took a darker turn during its eighth season.Charlie Sheen, who played the lead character, went on an anti-Chuck Lorrerant. As a result, the show had to delay production, and Sheen was eventually fired from the sitcom.

After the series finale in 2015, there were rumors about a possible sequel in the works. However, while promoting his sitcomExtended Family, Jon Cryer shot down these rumors. He expressed hesitation about working withSheen again and added:
The thing for me is, when Two and a Half Men was happening Charlie was like the highest paid actor in television – probably ever. And there has been nobody that has surpassed the enormous amount of money he was making. And yet he blew it up. So you kinda have to think, I love him, I wish him the best and that he should live in good health the rest of his life, but I don’t know if I want to get in business with him for any length of time.
Although he no longer wishes to collaborate with thePlatoonactor, he’s pleased that Sheen and Lorre have reconciled, ending their decades-long feud. Interestingly, Sheen played a fictionalized version of himself in Lorre’s 2023 showBookie.
