During the time, Melania Trump was relatively a lesser known European model, with a very calm demeanor. Further, she had already heard about Trumps infamous romantic lifestyle, and wasn’t swayed by his words. So, she stood her ground and asked for his number, and wondered whether he will give her his business number.
But she also recalled that instead of one, Donald Trump gave her all the numbers he was using at the time. She waited a couple of days andthen called himas she“was struck by his energy”and his“amazing sense of vitality.”A year later in 1999 his divorce from Maples was finalized, though they had separated in 1997.

Though Donald Trump and Melania separated for a brief period in 2000, they were soon pictured together again, and in 2004 he asked her to marry him. They gotmarriedin 2005 at Palm Beach, Florida and now after more than two decades together the duo is stronger than ever.
Donald Trump’s Marriages and Kids
Apart from his political endeavors, Donald Trump has also turned a lot of heads for his personal life. Before marrying Melanie Trump in 2005, he was previously married to Ivana Trump, and then Marla Maples. He met his first wife Ivana, all the way back in 1976 while she was working as a model and ski instructor. Due to a modeling gig, she visited New York City andcrossed paths with Trumpwhile having dinner with some fellow models.
He approached her and also joined them for dinner. Interestingly, she was also casually seeing someone at the time and was not interested in a relationship. But with his gestures Donald Trump was able to woo her and they married just three months later in 1977 at Marble Collegiate Church. The duo had three children together, Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and their youngest Eric.
They were married until 1989 when she learned that he was having an affair with Marla Maples. Ivana filed for divorce in 1990, but sadly passed away in 2022 at the age of 73. After this he Married Maples in 1993 and their only daughter Tiffany was born in the same year.

The couple were married for three years but parted ways in 1997 and officially divorced in 1999. It was after this; he married his now wife Melania Trump in 2005 and has a son named Barron with him.
